Niki’s varied experience in healthcare IT and health system operations brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. Having spent time in the electronic medical record implementation space as well as health system operations, she has interacted with a wide variety of stakeholders, from frontline staff to senior leadership. Niki prides herself on her ability to embrace ambiguity and enjoys tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions. She strives to balance implementing industry best practices with considering and adapting to the intricacies of each organization with which she works.
Niki began her career in healthcare as a population health consultant at Cerner Corporation. She helped clients reduce cost and improve patient outcomes with identification and treatment solutions targeted at conditions including sepsis and venous thromboembolism. In her first engagement as primary technical consultant, she assisted a three-hospital system in reducing its sepsis mortality from 12% to 6% in five months. In addition, Niki completed a graduate internship with Kaiser Permanente’s National Delivery System Strategy, Planning, and Design team in Oakland, California, where she researched and developed a business case to license physicians in multiple states for telehealth and locum tenens operations as well as constructed a 10-year provider workstation forecast model.
